"God's own plan"

A Short time ago a woman who is keenly interested in postwar reconstruction, but at the moment was feeling disappointed with human planning, said to me, "Sometimes I wish for the loudest of all voices, and that I could stand on a mountaintop to tell the world of its madness."

Christian Science has a message to give to the world, and at that moment I was grateful for the "Daily Prayer," given to us by Mary Baker Eddy in the Church Manual (Art. VIII, Sect. 4): "'Thy kingdom come;' let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me, and rule out of me all sin; and may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them!"

Christian Scientists have a wonderful opportunity to help in the work of reconstruction by actively praying, "And may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them!" They know that God's perfect plan is already established and that the "still small voice" of Truth, which is omnipotent, is audible. Further, it is not necessary literally to climb a mountain to make this voice effective, but it is necessary to dwell in "the secret place of the most High," divine consciousness.
