It is a joy for me to express the gratitude I feel for Christian Science. Since becoming acquainted with it over thirty years ago, my family and I have received many blessings. We have had many healings, including those of ailments that school age children frequently have. A case of mumps was completely healed between Friday afternoon and Monday morning of the following week. My husband was healed of what seemed to be paralysis, and I received a healing of a badly sprained ankle, while attending a Christian Science lecture.

I should like especially to mention a healing I received one summer. One morning upon arising I became violently ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. But as the day wore on I experienced severe pains in my side, and a very swollen condition appeared. A practitioner was called, but for a few days I did not respond to the treatments. I was unable to move in my bed and was given only sips of cold water. For three days I seemed to be deep in the valley, and on one occasion the danger seemed very real. The practitioner was called again and in a very short time I was normal and fell into a deep sleep. Later in the day the practitioner called to see me. After he left I felt comforted and uplifted, I realized that, as God's idea, I could not be sick. The treatments were continued, and in about three weeks I was able to sit up. The healing was slow, but it gave me the opportunity to study and to know that "with God all things are possible." I thank God daily that I was healed of an ailment which under medical treatment called for an immediate operation.

I have found that each healing strengthens us spiritually, and establishes us more firmly in the understanding of the truth.
