Out of the night we call mortality,
The dark Adamic heritage of tears,
Lead us, O Truth, into the lucent air
Of Thy divine dominion over fears.
Where there is light, and where transfigured thought
Is blest by Spirit, let us praise and pray
That the irradiance of a life illumed
May find its perfect union with Thy day.
