Fruits of Constant Right Thinking

HUMANITY is urgently in need of and earnestly longing for enduring happiness, health, security, peace—true satisfaction. Christian Science offers a practical and provable way of obtaining this desirable end. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 261), "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."

What is "the enduring, the good, and the true," to which we are admonished steadfastly to hold? The words must point to qualities that express the nature of divine Mind, God, the radiance of Love. Thoughts of kindness, wisdom, and forgiveness come to us through quiet meditation on the ever-loving God and His perfect creation, wherein the purity, perfection, and harmony of man and the universe are forever intact. These are the enduring, good, and true things of Spirit, which must be persistently realized and declared.

Not only must these truths occupy our consciousness to the exclusion of their opposites, but they should be expressed under every circumstance. Should their opposites seemingly be manifested as a sick, sinful, dying, ill-tempered, unjust mortal, they must be rejected, or ejected from our consciousness.
