Father, to Thee We Turn

'Tis not in vain we turn to Thee, O Father,
The one Almighty God, the first and last.
Thy comfort, help, and strength, Thou freely givest,
Unfolding to us that the night is past.
And through the darkness of this mortal seeming,
Thy pure reflection sheds its holy light,
And we are wakened to behold true selfhood;
Man is at one with omnipresent might.
No longer can we fear earth's fleeting falseness,
Or dread illusions mortal mind conceives;
Safe in the knowledge of Thine omnipresence
We feel the steadfast calm that man receives.
And now, dear Father, we can rest in safety,
Knowing that love we ever must express;
None are left out from Thy great saving kindness,
And all are one in perfect holiness.
