It is with heartfelt gratitude that I bear brief testimony to the power of Christian Science in the realm of physical healing. Although it has been in the larger realm that Christian Science has meant most to me, I feel the following two healings should be placed on record. They may help someone, who is prepared, to become a student of this Science, and thus to learn the truth about all things.

The first healing occurred at the time of my birth. A well-known New York City doctor pronounced it a "still birth," and that was all there was to it from a medical standpoint. But the Christian Science practitioner who was engaged refused to admit the reality of the doctor's verdict, and at the end of three or four hours of work I was breathing. To the medical fraternity it was a miracle.

A number of years later, school physicians told my parents that an operation on my throat was necessary. Trouble with adenoids and tonsils, I believe they called it. The complete healing came through Christian Science. The doctors declared the work to be so perfect it was as if they had operated.
