"From beginning to end"

Whatever right goal one may be endeavoring to reach, one soon finds that in order to succeed one must practice thoroughness and steadfastness. These are conditions of thought which are conducive to success in any line of endeavor. The study of Christian Science is no exception to this rule.

A student was asked to help another who had been studying Christian Science for a number of years. In conversation, it was disclosed that the one asking for help had never read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," through consecutively. His attention was lovingly called to the words of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, on page 559, where she says: "Take divine Science. Read this book from beginning to end. Study it, ponder it." This loving command to do what our Leader knew is needful for our advancement in Christian Science is indeed an incentive to study our beloved textbook thoroughly and steadfastly. Testimonies of healings which have been accomplished by consecrated study our of the Christian Science textbook are to be found in the chapter "Fruitage" in Science and Health, and in our weekly and monthly periodicals, and may be heard at Wednesday evening testimony meetings in all Christian Science churches. This book contains the full revelation of Christian Science, and through prayerful study of it the spiritual, healing balm is revealed for every human ill.

Earnest students of Christian Science, who are faithful in their study of our Leader's textbook and other writings, find that many healings are thereby accomplished. Some years ago a student who was studying "Miscellaneous Writings" found her heart so filled with gratitude for our beloved Leader, and for the inspiration gained through studying her books, that she was instantaneously healed of an unsightly and painful growth which had been a source of disturbance to her for a long time. No words can express the magnitude of the healing power which is revealed in these inspired writings, and which may be understood and demonstrated by prayerful study of them. They teach us of spiritual reality, and thereby enable us to see the nothingness of all phases of materiality.
