When the columns of the Register were opened for reporting a recent lecture on Christian Science, I am sure this courtesy was extended with the full and justifiable expectation that only truthful statements would be made by the speaker who presented the subject of the nature and accomplishments of Christian Science.

I wish, therefore, to assure you and your many readers that your confidence was not misplaced, notwithstanding the expressed opinion of a physician in a letter in a recent issue, to the effect that false accounts were given in the lecture concerning the healing of certain diseases.

I should like to say, in reply to our critic's comment, that everything voiced by the Christian Science lecturer was indisputably true and can be verified in every respect.
