Clapham Observer

A report of a lecture on psychic healing in a recent issue contains a reference to Christian Science.

Besides being out of place in a lecture on such a subject, the reference gives a very erroneous impression of Christian Science, and reveals a lack of understanding of the divine basis on which the healings in Christian Science are wrought. In explanation, I would say that the human mind is not a factor in Christian Science do not result from autosuggestion.

Replying to a question as to what is the cardinal point of the difference in her metaphysical system, Mrs. Eddy writes in her work, "Unity of Good" (pp. 9, 10), "This: that by knowing the unreality of disease, sin, and death, you demonstrate the allness of God. This difference wholly separates my system from all others."
