As a child I was brought up to attend Sunday school, church services, Band of Hope meetings, and all the various meetings that are held in connection with the Church of England. I also sang in the church choir, and on reaching the age of fourteen years I was confirmed. In all these activities I was very happy, but as I grew older I gradually lost interest in them. After my marriage I attended other churches, but never felt really satisfied, for there always seemed to be something lacking.

Over two years ago, however, I met a Christian Scientist who kindly gave me an invitation to a Christian Science lecture, and I can truthfully say that from that very night I began to understand God as I never before had done.

One of the results of this spiritual awakening was a quick and beautiful healing. For two months I had been suffering from a very bad chest trouble, swelling in the throat, troublesome cough, and a great sense of fear. I tried hard to help myself with what little knowledge I had gained of Christian Science, but was unable to free myself. At last I asked my Christian Science friend to help me. Treatment was lovingly commenced, and in five days I was completely healed. My daughter has also had a quick healing of a very bad carbuncle on the back of her neck. My husband found employment as a result of one treatment from this friend. We know that each proof of good is another unfoldment of God's great love for us.
