Love Provides Abundantly

The most beautiful words ever spoken or written are to be found in the first epistle of John (chapter 4, verse 16)—just three brief words, simple yet most profound—namely, "God is love." What a comfort to the lonely and brokenhearted, to the sorrowing and suffering, the needy and despairing, to know that God is Love!

It is generally conceded that God is omnipotent. Therefore, it must be seen that Love is all-powerful. And since God is omnipresent, Love is ever with us. Because God is all-powerful and ever present, fear has neither power nor presence. Love being everywhere and all-powerful, what is there to fear? Nothing! Because Love fills all space always, what room is left for lack, or loss, or hatred, or fear, or anger—for evil of any name or nature? None!

The most priceless gifts with which Love has blessed us are the Bible and its wonderful companion book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. How the Christian Scientist loves those two precious volumes and the Mind that inspired them! Through the study and application of the gems of spiritual thought expressed therein, one becomes transformed—renewed in thought and restored to health—encouraged, strengthened, uplifted. On page 494 of Science and Health we read, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." And, "To all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good." Love's presence, Love's power, Love's abundant provision are with us all the time—wherever we are, whatever the outward circumstance.
