With deep reverence for the blessings which Christian Science has brought to me through healings, I write this testimony. I wish to write of one particular healing, trusting that it may bring a deeper consecration of faith through study to those who are still struggling to rise above the mortal seeming. It is now several years since this particular healing occurred, but with continued study I realize more and more the truth of the statement in Revelation, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." How clearly Mrs. Eddy, through her devout consecration and purity of thought, understood this when she wrote in Science and Health (p. 261), "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."

As I was always very active, enforced inactivity seemed very hard and discouragement crept in; but through the clear thought of the practitioners I was finally enabled to rise and walk again after two years of invalidism due to an injury, which, according to the doctors, resulted in a tubercular joint. This trouble has never returned.

It is not for the healings alone that I rejoice, but for the uplifted thought which purifies as it heals. It is the truth which makes one free—free from everything unlike God, good. I am grateful for Christian Science. What would we who know of its teachings do without it? We owe our allegiance to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
