With gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy, I wish...

With gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy, I wish to acknowledge the many healings I have had in Christian Science.

About twenty-five years ago I was given up by four eminent physicians, because of fibroid tumors and appendicitis. In my extremity I called a Christian Science practitioner and told her I was dying. I explained the case to her, and in two and one half hours I was at her office in the city, healed. Ten years prior to this I was healed of tuberculosis; but as I had a complication of diseases I did not realize this until I received the above healing.

I have also been healed of a severe case of tonsillitis, of rheumatism, sciatica, muscular lumbago, arthritis, and gallstones. These conditions have been overcome as I have learned to see man as the reflection of God, created in His image and likeness. I am especially grateful to the practitioners and friends who so kindly helped me through a great sorrow in the passing on of my husband, and for the Christian Science literature and all the activities of the movement.—(Mrs.) Clara W. Rood, Chicago, Illinois.
