I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science.

My first experience in Science was when my daughter, a three-months-old baby, was healed. The doctor told me it was sometimes difficult in the case of an infant to tell just what the trouble was, and that he had done all he could do. Christian Science help was asked for, and the baby was soon normal. That was nineteen years ago, and since that time Christian Science has been our only physician.

Chronic headaches, constipation, measles, whooping cough, intestinal influenza, and many other discordant conditions have been healed. I was healed of an abscessed ear and pneumonia. This indeed proved to be a testing time. During this experience the suggestion of death presented itself very strongly, and so subtle was mortal mind's suggestion that I told myself I was not afraid to pass on. Then to my thought came this passage of Scripture: "I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye." And so this mesmerism was broken, and I knew that only by proving life harmonious could I demonstrate God or good.
