Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Singapore being by far the most important center in Malaya, all must agree to the wisdom of having the Committee on Publication for the Straits Settlements located in that city. It is largely because it has been possible to keep in close touch with the editors of the three daily newspapers there published that so friendly a spirit prevails. All three papers have voluntarily announced the local Christian Science services. The Straits Times carried extracts from the report of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and on another occasion asked to have certain other articles from The Christian Science Monitor. The Raffles Library has accepted a full subscription to the Monitor.

In only one of the two papers published in Penang did a reference to Christian Science call for correction, and a letter from the Committee was readily inserted.

In Malacca a weekly newspaper is published. Its editor, in order to secure a single number of the Monitor each week, has been pleased to supply his newspaper for Committee on Publication purposes in exchange.
