Christian Science has been of such benefit to me that I should like to express some of the gratitude I feel for its activities.

About ten years ago I experienced trouble with my eyesight. The glasses I was wearing—and I had worn glasses for many years—seemed to require changing, as I could not see to work with them or without them. At this time I was becoming interested in Christian Science, and a member of my family who was also interested advised me to see a Christian Science practitioner instead of my oculist. This I did.

The practitioner talked with me of the spiritual nature of vision, and gave me a treatment. The way back to my office lay through a park, and I noticed that objects such as blades of grass and leaves of trees seemed more clearly defined than usual, but I thought this was imagination caused by the pleasant glow I was experiencing after my happy interview with the practitioner. Far from being imagination, it was rather a glimpse of reality. I returned to my work to find myself healed, and able to do without my spectacles, which have never been worn since.
