It is with great joy and gratitude that I send my testimony for publication.

My first healing came after I had been reading the textbook and Mrs. Eddy's other writings for only a short while. When I was a child I wore very strong glasses, as the doctors feared that I should become blind. Later when I sought still stronger glasses from specialists, they, too, informed me that I might become blind. I also wore dark tested glasses to take away the glare of the sun and snow. I borrowed Science and Health from the Christian Science Reading Room, Kept it for two months, then purchased a copy. During this time I was able to discard my strong glasses. Each time I took up the book I prayed to be able to read those precious words. My prayer was answered. Later on I discarded the dark glasses.

We learn in Christian Science that sight is spiritual and eternal. Mrs. Eddy defines "eyes" in the Glossary of Science and Health (p. 586) as "spiritual discernment,—not material but mental." And on page 214 she tells us, "Neither age nor accident can interfere with the senses of Soul, and there are no other real senses." Our real sight can never be impaired, injured, or interfered with in any way, because God created man in His own image and likeness. My sight is better today than ever before.
