Silver Creek, New York (First Church).—The new edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Main Street, was dedicated Sunday, October 21, with services at 11 a.m. and 3 and 8 p.m. The building presents a beautiful setting on tastefully landscaped grounds, and is a charming composition in Georgian colonial style of architecture. The structure has broad, low lines and the pleasing effect of variegated red shades of old colonial brickwork.

The main entrance of wood, painted white, is designed and detailed with flat fluted pilasters, deep paneled jambs, the pair of solid wood doors having two authentic carriage lamps adorning each side. This entrance is approached from the street by a curved walk between two maple trees. Wide stone steps and platform with delicately detailed wrought iron rails on each side afford graceful entrance.

The Sunday school entrance is on the west side of the building. At the northeast corner of the building is the carved cornerstone showing the date of erection and with contents box therein containing the church history and records.
