Remembering Good

[Written Especially for Children]

BROTHER had been attending the Christian Science Sunday School for two years before he reached the age to enter the kindergarten in the public school. And now that eventful day had arrived. Although still a baby in years, he walked those three long blocks to school alone.

When school was dismissed for the noon period, the little fellow skipped happily along on his way home, but soon he discovered a friend and stopped to play. He played until he began to feel hungry and then he started again for home. By that time, however, many of his classmates had long since passed him on their way back to school. So brother missed the afternoon session.

When the little lad's mother, an active Christian Scientist, learned the reason for his delay, she gently reminded him of the value of obedience and promptness as they are taught in the Christian Science Sunday School. And, as examples, she called his attention to the sun, the moon, and the stars, pointing out to him how each in turn makes its orderly and prompt appearance. Then she explained that we must be prompt and obedient; that each of us should be in his right place at the right time, ready to do his duty faithfully.
