Your correspondent, although quoting freely from the Christian Science, textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, continues to separate sentences from their context, and to read into passages a significance entirely different from that intended by the author.

Christian Science teaches that God made all that was made, and that it was good, as the Scriptures aver. God also made man in His own likeness.

From this follows the necessary deduction that good is the primitive Principle of man. Evil, good's opposite, has no Principle, and no derivative. Evil is, as Mrs. Eddy states in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 14), "a lie that is incapable of proof—therefore, wholly problematical."
