Davis, California (Society).—Christian Science Society of Davis dedicated its church building at two services Sunday, December 10. At the regular Sunday service the following historical sketch [in part] of the society was read:

Several students of Christian Science in Davis met together during the fall of 1919 and decided to hold regular Christian Science Sunday services and one Wednesday evening testimonial meeting each month. A hall was rented and for three years informal services were held.

By the fall of 1922 there were enough Mother Church members in this group to organize a Christian Science Society. Application for organization was made to The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts; and in May, 1923, this application was granted. This group formed the Christian Science Society of Davis. A Sunday school was organized immediately.
