The Tranquil Heart

TRANQUILLITY is a flower of faith
That blossoms when seeds are sown
In the trusting heart that seeketh good,
And waiteth for God alone.

Tranquillity is a flower of hope;
Expectant of good it grows
In the sunny warmth of a happy heart,
Where joy of the spirit glows.

Tranquillity is a flower of love—
A love that can hear the call
Of the burdened ones, and it brings to them
Assurance that Love is all.

And where tranquillity's blossoms bloom
There's holy and fertile sod;
Ah, here is a garden of healing peace—
A heart that belongs to God!
