Signs of the Times

[From the Community Review, Ilion, New York]

In these anxious times the responsibility of religious bodies is very great, and much can be accomplished by them in assisting to restore the nation to normalcy. About a week ago it was our privilege to listen to a lecture addressed to a meeting of Christian Scientists at the Liberty Theater in Herkimer. Whether you believe in Christian Science or not is your business, but certainly this religious body, which during the past fifty years has demonstrated that its name means something—that it is both Christian and scientific—is today preaching to the public a doctrine which if followed will do much to lead the world back to peace, prosperity, and righteousness. This is the doctrine of right thinking, and none can gainsay this fact that so soon as the world begins to think in the proper manner along right lines and to believe accordingly, then will our troubles fade as the mists of the morning.
