God Is Everywhere

God is everywhere;
I know it from the bird's glad singing,
And from the dewdrops
So closely to the blossoms clinging.

I know His presence
From the warm sunbeam brightly shining,
And from the tender peace
That twilight brings with day's declining.

God is everywhere—
The blossoms tell it, gayly swinging
In the gentle breeze,
To all who pass their fragrance flinging.

I feel Him with me
In the bright sunset's fading glory;
And starlight brings me,
With its deep peace, the same sweet story.

We know His presence
By these fair symbols that are showing
His dear love for us—
That love beyond all human knowing.
