It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science and our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I give this testimony regarding my help in the past thirteen years.

In an automobile accident near New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1919, my skull was fractured at the base of the brain, according to the report of two of the best surgeons obtainable. My wife was at this time deeply interested in Christian Science, as her mother was a Reader in a Christian Science church in Texas; and during a period of thirty-one days' unconsciousness, some Scientist friends of hers came to my bedside and suggested that she "know the truth" about my condition. Shortly after regaining consciousness I came to Texas, and finally consented to have a practitioner called. The doctor claimed that I should always be subject to severe headaches, and that my mind would never be restored to normality. Since that time I have never had one suggestion of headache, and my physical condition is much better than before the injury.

I have given up any and all material aid, and am endeavoring to put into practice in my daily life the understanding of this wonderful truth as I gain it through the study of Christian Science.
