I became interested in Christian Science in 1914 through a healing that my mother had at that time. She had been ill for two years, and we were deep in the valley of discouragement.

Christian Science has been a very great help to me, giving me happiness and healing me of physical troubles. I have been healed of weak eyes, influenza, pneumonia, tonsillitis, and the result of what seemed to be a serious accident.

In March, 1928, the car that I was driving collided with another car, and I received, among other injuries, three cuts on my face. The lady into whose home I went immediately after the accident had been a medical nurse. She told me that my nose was broken and should be plugged, and that the cuts should be dressed. I asked to be taken home, and on arriving there asked for Christian Science treatment. I was able to return to my work in eight days. My nose is straight, and there are no scars on my face. I am grateful for this healing, but more grateful that I can now look back on this experience and see that never once did I want to have my nose straightened by material means ; I had perfect confidence that divine Love would meet my human need.
