Christian Science was brought to my attention many years ago, when I was in great need of physical help. I had been under a physician's care for a long time without receiving much benefit and was very much discouraged, and full of fear. A relative living near saw my need and gave me some books to read, among them "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. A short time after this another neighbor offered to help me in Christian Science; and I gladly accepted this offer. Very soon I was healed and able to do my housework. My husband then started to study Science and Health and he was healed of chewing and smoking tobacco, of profanity, and of other bad habits, just through the study of Christian Science.

I can testify that Christian Science prevents as well as heals sickness. Before becoming interested in it I used to be ill quite frequently, but since taking up the daily study of this religion and trying to apply its teachings each day, I find that it keeps me in good health. For over seventeen years I have not spent one whole day in bed on account of sickness. I have had problems to solve during this time. If unable to work them out myself I have had help from a practitioner. I am sincerely grateful for all the good that Christian Science has brought into our home and thousands of homes all over the world.
