The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

South Shields, England (Society).

Lecturer: Miss Lucia C. Coulson; introduced by George Laidler, who said:—

It is more than twenty years since I first heard of Christian Science through a relative who had been healed of a condition which had been pronounced by a medical practitioner as incurable. I was most incredulous, and although during a period of years I heard of other remarkable healings, I continued to hold to my own convictions, as Christian Science seemed to me too transcendental. It was not until after attending a Christian Science lecture that I began to realize that Christian Science was very different from what I had believed it to be, and I was encouraged to investigate the subject further; and I am grateful indeed for that first lecture.
