In sincere gratitude for the many blessings bestowed upon me through the teachings of Christian Science, I should like to relate a healing experience.

Christian Science was a religion not unknown to me, but like many other people I did not take it seriously; although periodically I had sought in it relief from physical ailments when fear kept me from accepting material treatment. Error, however, repeatedly kept me from acknowledging the truth. Several times I was released from bondage through Christian Science treatments, but after each healing I soon forgot this great privilege.

Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 1 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" that "desire is prayer." Due, perhaps, to a sense of curiosity more than anything else, I finally took up the study of Christian Science. By degrees the desire to know more about this wonderful boon to mankind became paramount in my consciousness, and as a result I purchased and began reading all the works written by Mrs. Eddy, as well as "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur. I subscribed to all of the periodicals and attended a Christian Science church regularly. Progress was beginning to be manifested. Repeatedly the tenth verse of the fifty-first Psalm entered my consciousness: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
