With a grateful heart I testify to all the healings we have had in our family through Christian Science. We have had many proofs of God's love and care. Influenza, mastoid abscesses, and the results of accidents have been overcome through Christian Science. Some of these healings were brought about with the help of a practitioner.

There is one healing which stands out above all, and which has proved to be a staff to lean upon—that of diphtheria in its worst form. My two children, aged two and three, were ill with it, and the doctor said there was no hope for them. I could not get a message through to a Christian Science practitioner as the telegraph and telephone offices were closed. My little girl became much worse on a Sunday; she just lay with her eyes shut. At the time I was only a beginner in Christian Science. The whole of that Sunday I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and the ninety-first psalm, and held to the thought that of myself I could do nothing, but that God could do everything for us. I read far into the night and must have fallen asleep. When it was bright daylight I awoke, and my baby was standing up in her cot with a bright smile. And oh ! how glad I was for that beautiful healing! Within a week my boy was well too.
