Looking Up

Each day through countless little tasks
I walk with strength and joy;
No unkind words, no thoughtless acts,
Have power to annoy.

I know Love's messengers will clear
The path ahead for me,
If I but follow where they lead
In true humility.

And so when cares beset me most,
When everything seems wrong,
I stop to listen—wait on God,
Then onward with a song!
