[Written for the Sentinel]

"The resurrection, and the life"

"I am the resurrection, and the life;"
Thus did our Master speak to one of old,
Whose burdened sense reached out to him for help.
There was no argument: there was no death!
To Martha, as to Lazarus, was Christ
The resurrection, when, through clouds of doubt,
Faith rose to greet the radiance of Life.
To Love there is no mystery of death,
For Love is Life, and Life is All-in-all.
