Christian Science was presented to me at a time when I was suffering from nervous prostration caused by worry and grief. Continued grieving had resulted in a spell of insanity. The doctor's verdict was that these attacks would recur, and no hope of healing was held out. A friend mentioned Christian Science, relating her own healing and the peace which the study had brought to her, and I turned to it wholeheartedly with a desire that I might find God and be sustained in this trial, but not thinking that I would be healed. In five days, through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, all fear was destroyed and a great sense of joy was realized, for I knew that I had found the religion that would satisfy a lifelong craving. Within the next two weeks I was healed of gallstones; and a malignant growth was also healed through continued reading.

At this time I was left without any means of support and with a little daughter to care for. An earnest desire to trust in God was rewarded, and step by step we were guided. Supply was unfailing; and through this demonstration of supply an understanding of God as substance has unfolded in consciousness, whereby we have gained a clearer understanding of home as "the secret place of the most High," and of Spirit as our unfailing support.

My daughter was healed of deafness through the loving help of a practitioner. Many other healings have taken place: smallpox, malignant itch, neuralgia of the stomach, sprains, and burns have been overcome by the correct application of the truth as taught in Christian Science.
