Having received so much help through Christian Science,...

Having received so much help through Christian Science, I feel that I must express my gratitude for some of our many blessings. Some time ago my son, then fifteen years old, broke his shoulder bone and dislocated his collar bone. He had a physician make an examination, and on coming home he told me what had happened to him. I asked him just what he had learned in Sunday school, and his answer was that "bones have only the substance of thought which forms them" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 423), and that in God's kingdom accidents are unknown. Soon he became quiet and went to sleep. But as he had listened to error somewhat, he wanted me to telegraph for help. This I did. It being Sunday it was late before I could do so. By Monday morning he could use his arm a little, and by Friday he was cutting wood and roping goats; no help of any kind was used but God's help, not even a sling. I hope this will show the power of God's love, and prove that broken bones can be as readily healed in Science as any other error.

I have been a student of Christian Science four years, am a member of The Mother Church, and am indeed grateful that it was my privilege to hear of this truth. I have been a much happier and healthier woman since I found the truth that makes free. We have had many blessings. My daughter and I were both healed of wearing glasses; measles, chicken pox, and colds have been quickly overcome. I am grateful for the healing of an unlovely temper. I cannot stop without expressing my grateful appreciation of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing us, even as John declared, that "God is love." I am also grateful for the many kind friends who have helped me on my way. I can never be grateful enough for God's love.
