I have been interested in Christian Science for many...

I have been interested in Christian Science for many years and feel I should make an acknowledgment of the many blessings and healings that have come to my home. One of these I should like to mention. Several years ago our son, then twelve years of age, while playing at a friend's home, fell and broke his wrist. Upon learning of this accident, I immediately took him to the home of a practitioner. After receiving present treatment he was brought home at about eleven o'clock in the morning. No physician was called; we depended entirely on Christian Science, the arm being placed in a sling with no splints of any kind. At one o'clock he ate a hearty lunch, and at three o'clock the same day, as all pain had been destroyed, three of his friends with whom he had previously been playing came to see him. After about thirty minutes' visit he said, "Mother, may I go with the boys?" I answered that he could if he felt like it. He not only went out with the boys, but walked four blocks to the home of one of them and played until six o'clock and walked back home.

The boy's father was out of the city at the time of the accident, and on returning home three days later, inquired if I had had the services of a physician. When I replied that I had not, he said he wished to have a physician examine the arm. My consent being given, the boy was placed under the care of a physician, who, upon first glancing at the arm, said, "What have we here? a broken arm I suppose." Upon closer examination he said: "Yes, it certainly has been broken, but it has been set. Who set it, son; who set it?" The boy replied, "No one." The doctor replied, "It is an absolute impossibility, son; who set your arm?" Our son replied again, "No one set my arm, doctor." The doctor then replied, "There has been a miracle performed, for it is set perfectly." He then proceeded to put the arm in splints and sent the boy home. After three days the doctor called me and said I should send the boy to his office as he wished to put on new wrappings. I then told him that we did not wish him to take charge of the case, as a Christian Science practitioner was caring for the boy; that we had only wished to be assured the arm was all right.

This is but one of many beautiful healings we have had in our home, and I am most grateful to God for His loving-kindness, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; also for the healings all over the world, for membership in The Mother Church, and for the privilege of serving in the Sunday school.
