Pilgrims of God

ONWARD we go, pilgrims of God!
The South giveth up, and the great Northland;
The hordes of the East and the West unite;
From the peaceful plains and the mountain slopes,
The faithful hear and onward go.

On, on we go, pilgrims of God!
Darkness assails us, hell's wrath confronts us;
But overwhelmingly high rides our faith.
The heavenly host swells the triumph song.
Our hope endures, and we press on.

Onward we go, pilgrims of God!
Gone the vainglory, temptations of earth;
Gone the reproaches, the sorrows and fears.
One in true purpose, in heart and in song,
Conquerors all, forward we go.
