Out of deep gratitude to God for all that Christian Science is bringing into my life, I feel that I must try to tell a little of what it has been to me in the past. My father and mother began its study when I was a small child of about six; so from that time on my home life was always surrounded with some measure of Christian Science, its teachings and results.

At the age of twelve I went to boarding school. While there the home influence seemed lost at times, but whenever difficulties arose, particularly in the nature of physical ailments, I realize now that I turned instinctively to Christian Science for help, either through some text from the Bible or through some familiar passage from our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. During that time, through the loving help of practitioners, I had several physical healings, chiefly from the results of epidemic and accident; and before my school days were over I had become satisfied that Christian Science was the truth.

On leaving school, it was with the wish to live an active life in the world and an underlying desire to love and serve God through Christian Science; and I can never express sufficient gratitude for the wonderful care and guidance of divine Love throughout the following years. The world appeared at first to be very attractive; but the desire for spiritual good remained with me, and it just seems as though it was nurtured by God, until in some small measure it has blossomed and is bearing fruit.
