Because the reading of testimonies in the periodicals...

Because the reading of testimonies in the periodicals has given me much cause for gratitude, I too wish to express in this way all praise to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the many blessings this great truth has brought to the whole world and to me and mine. I have received so many blessings it would take too much space to tell of them all; but I am most grateful for freedom from melancholy, which held me in bondage many years, making not only me but all those around me unhappy. Morally, I have become a better wife, mother, and friend through the study of Christian Science. I am also grateful for the partial overcoming of financial limitation. Some of my healings have seemingly been slow; but even these have proved a blessing, as they have always made me study more earnestly. However, my deepest gratitude is for the spiritual uplift I have received through the better understanding of God and man.

I am most grateful to the loving practitioners who have helped me on the upward way. I am grateful for our Manual, for the Christian Science literature, and for the Sunday school, where our children may early learn the truth; also for membership in The Mother Church, as well as in a branch church, and for class instruction.

I am grateful beyond words to express, that "now are we the sons of God." As we live this truth and walk close to God, by our works shall all mankind know us.—(Mrs.) Gertie Knight, Los Angeles, California.
