Among the Churches

Current Notes

Jackson Sentinel

Maquoketa, Iowa (First Church).—The first public service in the beautiful new Christian Science church building on the corner of Main and East Maple Streets has now been held. The new church, located on the edge of the business district of our city, is certainly a credit to Maquoketa. The architectural plans throughout are in keeping with the most modern in church edifices, unpretentious yet abounding in lines and graceful contour which suggest dignity and solemn beauty. The membership, as well as the city, have every reason to rejoice over the splendid structure which, like all of our Christian temples, is consecrated to the upbuilding of the community.—Jackson Sentinel.
