I gladly express my gratitude for what Christian Science...

I gladly express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. It has given me joy where once was a sense of sorrow—a peace and happiness that words fail to express. I am indeed grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for having given this wonderful truth to the world, and to the loving practitioner through whose help I have had many healings. I am grateful for the Sunday school; for the Lesson-Sermons that are such a daily help; for the church and the Reading Rooms. Indeed, I am so grateful for the little understanding I have of Truth. My one desire is to know more about God, so that I may help others as I have been so lovingly helped.

On one occasion I fell and sprained my ankle; but I at once declared the truth and was able to walk three miles to my home. When I took my shoes off, however, I could not bear the foot on the ground; and all night it was very painful. I soon realized that I had not been thinking very kind thoughts about some one the previous night, and the words came to me: If you love not your brother whom you have seen, how can you say you love God, whom you have not seen? As the wrong thought was healed, my ankle was also healed. I was able to be about the room the same day, and as usual the next day. It is such joy to know there is "no power but of God." I am very, very grateful.
