I wish to express my gratitude for the spiritual understanding I am receiving through the study of Christian Science. I love the Bible more since "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and the other writings of Mary Baker Eddy began to reveal their treasures to me. My blessings are manifold. I am being healed hourly, and desire to add my testimony to the power of divine Truth by telling of a healing I had in 1921.

One Saturday evening, the thumb of my left hand was cut. On Sunday the thumb and first two fingers were blue, and the hand and whole arm terribly swollen. I tried to help myself in Science, but by noon, not having overcome fear, I called a practitioner. She deserves praise for her patience and loving-kindness. Friends called and begged me to have a doctor, saying the hand or even the arm might have to be amputated. A lady in the house with me, who was trying to be most sisterly and helpful, said one day, "You must have a surgeon open that arm, or I shall call the health officers." Having had so many proofs of God's love and guidance, however, I never faltered. A few days later, without any pain at all, an opening appeared at the wrist, and later another one. A trained nurse, who was called on the case, said that had a surgeon operated on the arm, he would have opened it exactly where Christian Science had done the work so gently. This nurse, who had had much experience, appreciated the quick healing in Christian Science

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her untiring efforts in placing this truth within the reach of all mankind. I am grateful for the lectures, church services, and literature. It is a real pleasure to have the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor in our home.
