The church headed by Mrs. Annie C. Bill of London, recently reported in your columns, is nothing new. Mrs. Bill withdrew from the Christian Science church in 1910, while Mrs. Eddy was still actively the Discoverer, Founder, and Leader of Christian Science. Furthermore, Mrs. Bill withdrew from this church and started one of her own long before any question had arisen in regard to the powers of The Christian Science Board of Directors. She has been advertising a church since 1912. Naturally, Mrs. Eddy's followers, while conceding that anybody may start a religious enterprise of his own, regard Mrs. Bill's claim as being extremely unfair to Mrs. Eddy, and as involving a misleading form of opposition to the church she founded.
