I should like to express my gratitude for the healing...

I should like to express my gratitude for the healing power of Truth, as revealed in Christian Science. A little over four months ago my little girl, nine years of age, was walking to school with some friends, when two automobiles collided. One of them was driven on to the sidewalk, injuring my daughter. On receiving a telephone call, I hurried to the home of a friend, where the child had been carried. On my way there I tried to realize what Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 424), "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection."

A doctor had been called; and to satisfy my sense of honesty, I immediately told him I was a Christian Scientist. He examined the child; and although she was badly bruised and her breathing very difficult, he said there were no broken bones, but he feared very much that she had been internally injured. A Christian Science practitioner was immediately called and told of the doctor's diagnosis, and treatment was commenced right away. In two or three hours we were able to removed the child to our own home, and she began gradually to improve. As each wrong symptom appeared, it was destroyed by the truth.

The accident occurred on a Thursday. The following Sunday my daughter was able to sit up in bed, and the next day walked across the room. A day or two afterwards she was out playing with her sister. I am indeed very grateful for this beautiful demonstration and for the loving help of the practitioner.—(Mrs.)Isabelle Albridge, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
