Letters from the Field

"It seems incredible that Thanksgiving is here at our door before I have expressed my sincere gratitude for having had the privilege of serving as an associate in the sanatorium. It was a wonderful experience, a God-given privilege. The work was strenuous, and such as I had never done before. But each task was done, thanks to the ever present help of divine Love, which was felt to be so near in that atmosphere of orderly and harmonious management.

"My friends, upon my arrival home, all declared I must have had a very enjoyable summer; they declared I had improved much; in fact, had grown younger. I myself had not realized the change until I was thus made consciouus of it; then I knew that the spiritual uplift I had received while at the sanatorium was responsible for it—was the manna upon which I had fed.

"To those who so lovingly showed me how to render service in the most efficient way, and to the loving and wonderful guidance of the head of the department in which I worked, I want to express my deepest thanks. Words fail me in expressing gratitude for all the benefits that I received. May this appreciation be expressed in greater service to mankind and in a keener understanding of the great truth which is being demonstrated at the Christian Science sanatorium.
