"God never made you sick."

"God never made you sick." These words, spoken by a loving Christian Science student, let in the light of Truth upon a distressed, discouraged, and suffering mortal who had exhausted the possibilities of materia medica and had asked in humility for help from a Christian Science practitioner. The relief that came with a slight understanding of true prayer and the contemplation of the nature of God was so convincing that the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was taken up very earnestly. At this time the loving provision of the free loan library was very much appreciated. As the truths of Christian Science were applied to everyday living, sick thoughts were replaced by thoughts of abundant life; distress gave place to peace; and discouragement disappeared, to make room for confidence. This confidence was no longer in self but in a God who knew no sickness, no sorrow, no sin, and who is unchanging, omnipotent, ever present Love.

Since the first visit of the practitioner, over three years ago, no material means have been used, and business not only has been attended to regularly but has become a very happy experience. The freedom from bondage has been joyous, and the assurance of having found a religion that meets the physical, mental, and moral needs of all mankind is cause for overflowing gratitude for all the activities of Christian Science, as discovered and founded by Mrs. Eddy.
