My gratitude for Christian Science impels me lovingly...

My gratitude for Christian Science impels me lovingly to acknowledge some of the wonderful things it has done for me. The disposition to criticize and condemn has been replaced by a loving desire to see others as God's ideas, thus making my thinking constructive, where formerly it was destructive. An almost continuous sense of fear, which was not clearly defined but caused worry and anxiety, has been replaced by confidence and restful trust in the ever-presence of divine Love. The replacement of self-love with love for my fellow-men and a loving desire to serve instead of being served, have brought peace and contentment, where formerly unrest and discontent reigned. Needless to say, this transformation of my thinking has brought about many physical healings, making it evident to me that Paul's advice, "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind," is something which Christian Science, understood and practiced, enables one to follow.

These great blessings have come to me through the unselfed love of our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and it is my one great desire to show my gratitude to her by being obedient and faithful to the rules she has given us in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," for the practice of Christian Science.
