"Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people." In 1915, I was sick and very unhappy. Physicians had differed in their diagnoses, and had failed to help me; and in my extremity I turned to Christian Science. While visiting in an Eastern city, I took my first Christian Science treatment, and was wonderfully uplifted. I then returned to the South, where God guided me to a dear Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly helped me. Now I am well and happy. Neuralgia, indigestion, and other ills have been healed through Christian Science treatment. Often, when sick thoughts have assailed me, they have been quickly dispelled through obedience to these lines from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy (p. 495): "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea." I am daily striving to express more humility, more love, and to eliminate from my consciousness all that is unlike good.

My heart is filled with gratitude to God, the great Giver of all good; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to Mary Baker Eddy, whose beautiful and noble character is revealed to all who earnestly study her works; also to the dear practitioner. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Board of Directors of The Mother Church for their loyalty to our beloved Cause.
