Three years ago, after an attack of pneumonia, I was left with a severe case of acute asthma. I suffered a year with this most dreaded thing. During that time many doctors treated the case, and all sorts of medicine were used; but no relief came. As members of my family had suffered, and some of them had passed on, from this disease, I could say as Job said, "The thing which I greatly feared is come upon me."

I had been a member of a church since girlhood, but had drifted from one to another without finding what I wanted; and still many, many prayers were offered up to an unknown God to make me well, or to take me out of all my suffering. One day I asked God to show me something to make me well; and instantly the "still small voice" came to me, Try Christian Science. Up to that time Christian Science was an unknown thing to me; but I was obedient, and that day, through a kind neighbor, I came in touch with a Christian Science practitioner. Treatment was begun; and, although the healing was very slow, I soon began to realize I had found what I had been seeking. In this great joy of finding a living God, who did not send sickness and trouble, the fear left me and the disease faded into its native nothingness. During this time, through the kind and loving instructions of the practitioner and the deep study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was able to prove to myself that Christian Science is a religion that heals.

Shortly after I came into Christian Science, my small daughter entered the Sunday school; and with the loving help of her Sunday school teacher, and the little understanding she herself had received, in two weeks she discarded her glasses. She had worn them for six years. A short time ago a severe case of tonsillitis was healed in our home in twenty-four hours; while many neighbors were laid up, under medical treatment, for a week or more.
