[Written for the Sentinel]

Immanuel

I was blind, but now I see
God is with us every hour;
Now His mighty love makes free,
And there is no other power.

I was blind, but now I see,
See the way through time's dark maze,
See the Sun of Righteousness
Rise with healing in His rays.

I was blind, but now I see,
See there is no pain, no death;
Life unbroken e'er must be,
For the Spirit gives us breath.

I was blind, but now I see,
All earth's sin and sorrow fall;
Heaven comes, the discords flee,
Joy is ours, for good is all.
