[Written for the Sentinel]

The Power and the Glory

While struggling with a sense of doubt and fear,
Quite forgetting Thou art ever near,
A still, small voice whispered in my ear:
For Thine is the power, and the glory.

With strength renewed I recommenced the strife,
Learning all is Spirit, Love, and Life.
There was peace where doubt and fear were rife;
For Thine is the power, and the glory.

Humbly I give all thanks and praise to Thee,
Rejoicing in the truth that makes us free,
For now and evermore my song shall be:
For Thine is the power, and the glory.
